Zoning Requests Public Hearing - During Regular City Council Meeting

There will be a public hearing held during (at the beginning) the regular City Council meeting on Tuesday, February 7, 2023 at 7:00pm in the City-County meeting room on the main floor of the Thomaston-Upson Government Complex located at 106 E Lee Street, Thomaston, GA 30286.
During this public hearing, there will be several agenda items discussed.
* 201 N Church Street (R22-0007) Requested rezoning from C-1 (Neighborhood Commercial) to DT (Downtown). This was an old hospice care business and has been requested to be used for a funeral service business.
* 111 Woodlawn Place (SUP22-0008) Current zoning is R-1 (Low-Density Residential) and the owner has requested a Special Use Permit to allow a short-term rental / Air BnB.
* 109 Springdale Drive (SUP22-0009) Current zoning is R-1 (Low-Density Residential) and the owner has requested a Special Use Permit to allow a short-term rental / Air BnB.
* 308 N Hightower Street (SUP22-0010) Current zoning is M-1 (Light Industrial) and the owner has requested a Special Use Permit to allow an event center.
ALL ZONING REQUESTS HAVE TWO PUBLIC HEARINGS.
