Animal Control

Animal Control is a community service to help keep our neighborhoods safe as well as the animals within. Animal control responds to calls from citizens, investigates reports for animal cruelty, interprets city ordinances, and serves citations and subpoenas.

Electric

The Electrical Department is responsible for the installation and maintenance of the entire electrical system.

Economic Development

The City of Thomaston Economic Development Department plays a critical role in recruiting new business into the community, working with existing businesses so that they are successful, and improving the quality of life for the residents and visitors of the city.

Finance

The City of Thomaston Finance Department is located in the Thomaston-Upson County Government Complex. Personnel are responsible for maintaining utility accounts for approximately 4,500 electric customers and 5,000 water customers.

Fire

The Thomaston Fire Department is made up of 19 employees making up three 24 hour shifts. They have two fire engines, one multi purpose ladder truck, one rescue squad, and one pickup truck.

Human Resources

The Human Resources Department is dedicated to serving the employees of the City of Thomaston. The Director works closely with City Leadership and staff to provide confidential quality service and vital information.
